Love at first sight
You may have seen in the Gallery that in most pictures it is still winter. That is when we first saw the land, and decided to buy it. It was that famous ‘love at first sight’. Now, almost at the start of autumn, we can finally say: ‘The land is ours’. After that initial yes, both from the Earth to us and from us to the land, life gave us a good test – of patience, perseverance, and trust. It is still hard to grasp, yet it is true: several people did a strange dance of putting signatures on paper, until the notary declared that the deal is done.
The beginning of a great adventure
This is the beginning of the real story. We have been given stewardship of the land. I for me can say: I accept the gift and challenge that this brings. I take this outstretched hand and will give my best to let this opportunity flower.
Letting go
What is happening is much bigger than me. Owning the property is more than a legal formality. It feels like a stone that was in the way has been removed, and now the water can flow freely. It’s taking us with it. All we can say is yes.
